This weekend, sisters took part in the very first Jingle Bell Run Virtual 5K.  It was a rainy day in Chicago, so a few sisters crushed it on their treadmills, while others squeezed in a run in-between rain storms.  Thank you to all who participated and donated to the Arthritis Foundation!

When summer decides to sneak in a few more warm days in Chicago, you must take advantage of the beautiful weather!  Sisters met for a Saturday Sisterhood Stroll through one of our local forest preserves last weekend.  We could not be more thankful for one last outing before the weather turns!

Our first book club crossover event was a success!  Many thanks to the ladies of the St. Louis Alumnae Chapter for joining us.  We can't wait to make this a yearly event!

Sisters!  Our Leadership Institute Awards have arrived!  Every sister of CWS has helped make this chapter the award winning chapter it's become.  Thank you for your passion, dedication and sisterhood!  We couldn't do it without you!

Last month we took advantage of one of the last warm evenings we'll have here in Chicago.  Beside the beautiful but windy weather, our October meeting was filled with fun!  It was Collegiate Night, so sisters came in their favorite collegiate AOII gear!  We kicked off the meeting with a Business and Educational Minute lead by Christine Graves.  Christine talked about her experience running for her local Public Office.  We then played an AOII Trivia game that tested our AOII and CWS history knowledge!

Last Thursday was the perfect night to kick off a new year!  Some sisters met in person to enjoy s'mores by the fire, while others joined in via zoom.  Our September meeting kicked off with an educational moment led by Jessie Wang-Grimm.  Next, we went around the fire introducing ourselves and shared one surprising thing we've done during quarantine.  We then spent the rest of the evening catching up.  It was wonderful!

At Saturday's Virtual LI Awards Ceremony, we were honored with SIX Alumnae Awards - Excellence in Collegiate Engagement, Community Involvement, Membership Recruitment, Communications, Sisterhood, and Alumnae Philos! Not only that, but we have TWO Rose Award winners amongst us - Amy McSwane and Christine Graves! We truly have a remarkable sisterhood. Thank you for your friendship, support, and all that you do to help us shine as a group. Congratulations and may we continue to inspire ambition in the year to come!
